As the cutting tool and workpiece rub against each other, friction generates heat. This heat can cause thermal expansion in the workpiece, leading to inaccuracies in the final product. A CNC cooling system helps to remove heat from the cutting zone, maintaining a consistent temperature and preventing thermal deformation of the workpiece. Types of CNC Cooling Systems

One of the most common types of CNC cooling systems is the air cooling system, which uses air as the cooling medium. These systems are relatively simple and cost-effective but may not be as efficient as liquid cooling systems. Liquid cooling systems, including CNC coolant filter systems, use water or coolants to dissipate heat. These systems are more effective in heat removal than air cooling systems and are often used in high-speed and high-precision machining applications. Besides, some CNC machines are equipped with air-curtain cooling systems that use a directed flow of air to cool specific components, such as the spindle and workpiece, during the machining process. These systems are designed to provide localized cooling and can be particularly useful in applications where precise temperature control is required.
