About cinta adhesiva doble cara

Double-sided tape, also named double-faced tape or double-sided adhesive tape, is created by applying a thin adhesive layer to each side of a carrier substrate material. It can be either thick (such as foam-based) or thin double-sided tape (such as paper-based). Double-sided tapes are economical and viable alternatives to glue.

Different types of double-sided tapes

Double-sided tapes have different shapes, sizes, and types, and each type may be suitable for specific applications. Among some of the most commonly used double-sided types are those that are coated with tissue paper, known as tissue tape. They are used for art, stationery, and office. These double-sided types are easy to rip off, and they are so thin that they can adhere to some irregular surfaces. Acrylic double-sided tapes adhere to surfaces better than tissue tape, and they are ordinarily used in industrial areas because they have good weather resistance, making them suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. Double-sided foam tape is made of polyethylene, which provides thick cushioning and insulation, allows absorption of heavy impact, and can dampen sounds caused by surface vibration, making it separate from its tissue and acrylic counterparts. Double-sided mounting tapes are mainly used by the printing industry, such as for ensuring flexographic print plates on sleeves or cylinders of mass printing machines. They are designed to be able to resist heavy-duty usage. Apart from the above tapes, there are also double-sided tape sorts that are reasonable for utilization on floor surfaces. An example of this is floor carpet tape. These tapes have good shear resistance, so they can keep whatever it is they are applied to in place.

Applications of double-sided tapes

Double-sided tapes play an important role in a few applications. For house wrap and vapor barrier seaming, double-sided tape is used to overlap house wrap seams, so water does not migrate behind them. Also, using double-sided tapes to attach vapor barriers to walls can reduce some labor instead of utilizing screws for a more air-tight seal. In the area of graphic arts and signage, double-sided tape is an option when it comes to bonding. A number of adhesion levels can be chosen based on the things that need to be stuck together. Some special double-sided carpet tape may be used for the exhibition hall, which typically feature a medium adhesion and tack, and is removable after the show and can leave no residue. As more and more buildings are becoming airtight, the sound is becoming an issue, so double-sided tape is usually utilized to attach the foam to wall panels or flooring underlayment to floors in manufacturing to reduce the volume of the sound to some extent.
